Wickham House

South London

Refurbishment of a detached period house.

A dark and damp basement was turned into a light, multifunctional open plan kitchen and dining area with utility and wine store plus adjacent playroom and guest room.

Steel framed glazed screens organise the internal spaces around the stairwell and provide a large new opening to the terrace and garden. Polished concrete flooring was installed in the hallway, kitchen and utility areas, with a matching concrete kitchen island worktop. A rich coloured cherry wood was used for the bespoke kitchen joinery. The playroom and guest room received reclaimed timber floorboards.
All upper floors were refurbished as well to bring the house back to its former glory.
